Ground Speed Calibration System
The O'Conner ground speed calibration system uses a traffic monitor and tuning fork to verify the accuracy of a ground speed sensor. The procedure: 1) Verify the traffic sensor is calibrated using the tuning fork, then 2) Simultaneously measure the vehicle's speed on board with the ground speed sensor and remotely with the traffic sensor. The two measurements should be the same. Each system is road tested and delivered with test data.
